INTERNATIONAL DEFENDU COMMITTEE

The International Defendu Committee (IDC) consists of three board members who serve as an advisory board to ensure the correct teaching and instruction of both W. E. Fairbairn's original Defendu (also known as the Close Quarter Fighting System) and its modern iterations. The three permanent board members are experienced instructors in military hand-to-hand combatives in the lineage of Fairbairn:

• Kirk Simmons, USA: Honorary President, Black Belt - Simmons School of Self Defense
• Tommie Petersson, Sweden: Vice President, Black Belt - Sanchin Budokai 
• Nick McCarthy, United Kingdom: Senior Advisor, Black Belt - Defendu United Kingdom
